The Oakland Tech PTSA will hold its 5th Annual Silent Auction on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at the Chapel of the Chimes at 4499 Piedmont Avenue. The festivities, featuring delicious food, a no-host bar, and entertainment, will start at 5:30 p.m. and end at 10:30pm.
The auction helps fund numerous needs at Oakland Tech, including music and art supplies, computer upgrades, field trips, extracurricular activities, athletic club needs, and more.

Tickets for the auction are now on sale: $10 per person on or before March 28. $15 per person after March 28 and at the door. To purchase tickets, contact Ruth Jacobson at 510-465-8186 or ruthie@imagewrights.com.
Right now the auction committee seeks donations to the auction. Please think about what you can donate, and ask your neighbors, relatives, and local businesses to donate, too. Here is the Auction Donation Form.
Some ideas:
Gift certificates to restaurants hair salons, nail salons, health clubs, theaters, movie houses, and stores;
Tickets to sporting events and concerts;
Personal services such as tax preparation, house-painting, interior design, landscaping, massages, computer set-up or assistance, preparation of meals or other food items;
Physical items such as jewelry, housewares, sporting goods, scarves, furniture, etc. Get together with a group of people and plan a dinner, a cocktail party, or other event. Used items in excellent condition (e.g., jewelry) are welcome. "Re-gift" that Christmas present you couldn't use or didn't want. Donations are tax-deductible (tax ID #94-6174624.
Send (or drop off ) your donations to our Auction Coordinator, Jodi Murphy, 686 Calmar Ave, Oakland, CA 94610. Call Peter Weil at 919-4033 to arrange for pick-up of bulky items.
