Step out back at Oakland Tech any day, including weekends, and you’re likely to see athletes hard at work. It’s not just Oakland Tech Bulldogs—Oakland Tech is one of the busiest sports venues in the Bay Area with outside groups lining up to use the field. For students, one of the most rewarding and satisfying activities on campus is participation on a school athletic team. Whether a team sport, like football, basketball or soccer, or an individual sport like tennis, cross country or wrestling, participation gives students feelings of camaraderie, accomplishment, self-satisfaction, and pride.
Last year’s Oakland Tech Bulldog teams were highly competitive, both in the Oakland Athletic League (OAL) and throughout the Bay Area. Championship teams included varsity and junior varsity football, girls basketball, boys junior varsity basketball, wrestling and baseball. Other teams competed for top spots throughout their seasons.
