Staff Bulletin – February 14, 2011
1. This week will be heavily impacted with substitutes. Mr. Fuchs and 3- 9th grade teachers will be traveling to Oregon for a school study visit, 2/16-2/18 and 4 teachers will be taking a group of students on an educational ski trip. Ms. Morrison has worked hard to organize substitute coverage during the week. Please be mindful of this situation as you plan your week.
2. Congratulations to the following 7 students who have been selected for the 2012 Summer Search Program: Julio Amaya, Taylor Anderson, Eyesys Gregory, Anfernee Henderson, Jamaal Johnson, LaRay Williams and Randall Jackson. Mr. Hancock is to be commended for his dedication and commitment in supporting students through this rigorous process.
3. Professional Development February 16th: It is my understanding that OUSD is providing PD for all content area departments. Department Chairs, please let Sheilagh know if your department is not involved with OUSD PD on Wednesday.
BLUE PASSES: Please do not allow students to walk in an out of your classroom. Please issue a blue pass only if a student MUST leave your classroom. I have noticed, especially on the 2nd floor, many students leaving a few classrooms, at will. Teachers, you are responsible for the students assigned to you and I expect that you monitor your students at all times. Valuable instructional time is lost when students are not in their classroom focused on their learning. It is also an extreme disruption to the school learning environment when students are meeting in the hallways and socializing.
Marquee: If you would like events, messages posted on the marquee, send the information to email@example.com.
Calendar/Bulletin: If you would like information posted on the school monthly calendar or weekly bulletin, please send the information to Sheilagh.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Information Hallway: Please do not post flyers around the school. The Information Hallway, located on the 1st floor is the central location for postings.
Have a great week!
