Sports Booster Club

Dear Parents of Oakland Tech Student-Athletes:

Oakland Technical High School has an amazing legacy of producing world-class athletes, dating back to the school’s inception in 1915.  Brick Muller, Cookie Lavagetto, John Brodie, Rickey Henderson, Leon Powe, and Alexis Gray-Lawson are but a few of the Tech alumni who have gone on to achieve stardom in athletics at the collegiate or professional levels.  (Visit our Notable Alumni page to view the list of Tech alums who worked their way to fame and fortune in athletics, or other areas of achievement.)

Currently, Oakland Tech is fortunate to have a vibrant athletic department offering competitive sports with winning teams throughout the school year.  If you are the parent of a student-athlete, you no doubt understand the importance of your child being involved in a sport, whether it is a team or individual sport.  The Oakland Tech Sports Booster Club is dedicated to the success of our teams and athletes through financial support.

Our goal is to support the athletic department so that it can continue to provide proper equipment, maintain our athletic fields and equipment, and purchase new, state of the art equipment aimed at providing the best protection for and improving the skills and abilities of our student-athletes.

Please join us in our efforts by becoming a member of the Sports Booster Club, or by making a tax deductible donation.  Join us at our monthly meetings every third Wednesday of each month at 6:00pm in the Oakland Tech library.  Parent participation is crucial to the success of the club and the sport teams!
