Tech students who may need vision screening and eyeglasses have the opportunity to receive both a free exam and free glasses thanks to the Vision to Learn Mobile Eye Clinic.
How it Work
Vision To Learn’s Mobile Eye Clinic visits Tech to conduct the exams.
Their optometrists and opticians conduct free eye exams and fit students for free eyeglasses. The students pick out their own frames.
Three weeks after the examinations, Vision To Learn delivers the students’ new glasses to Tech’s nurse’s office.
Fill Out and Submit Consent Form
If you feel your student needs this service, please download the consent formavailable here in English and Spanish, fill it out and have your student return it to the nurse’s office (Room 110A). Forms are also available in the main office or in the nurse’s office. You may also request a form by email from the school nurse by Amanda.Epperson@ousd.org. It is important to get these consent forms back as soon as possible so that we can provide this free service to our students. Once the van is scheduled, your student will be given the date. Students will pick up their glasses at the nurse’s office three weeks after the screening.
