Update for students who have signed up for an eye exam and free glasses with Vision to Learn …

Vision to Learn is scheduled to come to the Tech campus on Monday, May 22. Students who have already signed up to participate will be given a blue pass with an appointment time and instructions.

Students will be screened and given a variety of frames to chose from if it’s deemed they require glasses. There is a possibility that VTL may not be able to get to every student due to time constraints. Although it is anticipated that all students will be screened, please know that VTL will return early next school year. Signed consents of any students who were not screened will be kept in the nurse’s office to be used next year.
Unfortunately, due to the late scheduling, glasses will not be available before school ends. Amanda Epperson, Tech’s nurse, will work with any seniors to ensure that they receive their glasses over the summer as soon as they’re available. All other students will receive their glasses on the first day of school — Monday, August 21.

Please let Ms. Epperson know if your student is planning on leaving Tech, or you have any concerns. She can be reached by phone at 510-773-1766 or by email at amanda.epperson@ousd.org
