Pinole Valley 14, Oakland Tech 12: The visiting Spartans defense held the Bulldogs (2-1) in Pinole Valley territory three times in the fourth quarter, including recovering a fumble at the Pinole Valley 40 with 55 seconds remaining.

The Tech defense held Pinole Valley (3-0) to 66 yards of total offense. The Spartans‘ Donovan Henderson had an 83-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter, and with the point- after kick, Pinole Valley held a 14-6 lead.
