In a wonderful display of ever increasing skills on ice, the Oakland Tech Ice Hockey team won their first game of their club history, last evening, at the Oakland Ice Center. Indeed, one of the best chants heard in the stands during the game was “Go Bulldogs! I love the way you hockey!”

No one could have said it better.

There were a number of other firsts, last night: The Bulldogs scored the first goal of the game; they led at the end of the first period (3-1); they lead at the end of the second period (4-1); they led at the end of the third period (5-3). They even scored a short-handed goal. Each of the ‘Dogs skated with determination and a refusal to quit. It was rewarding to view the results of the patience and investment made by the unflagging coaches of the Bulldogs. Thank you, Coaches Lyons, Halpin, and Sedaka.

The 2010-2011 Oakland Tech Ice Hockey season begins 20 November 2010 at the Oakland Ice Center, NHL side, at 7:30PM with the Oak Tech Bulldogs hosting the East Bay Danglers in their first preseason game. Please come to the rink, Saturday evening, and get ready for the Oh Tee chant to support the team.
