Communications
The PTSA provides 4 different communication channels for the Oakland Tech Community.
1. The Oakland Tech website: www.oaklandtech.com. This is your best overall source of information, a repository of all things Tech, the very best place to check first! Bulletins, Contact Information, Descriptions of Academic and Extracurricular Offerings, Forms, Media reports about Tech, School History and so much more can be found here. To submit post information, email webmaster@oaklandtech.com.
2. The Bullhorn: A concise weekly email message with news and information for the Tech Community distributed each Tuesday. Subscribing to the Bullhorn is the way to keep your finger on the pulse without wading through multiple emails. You can view past issues and subscribe by clicking on the link here. Submit information by Monday midnight to bullhorn@oaklandtech.com.
3. The PTSA yahoogroup: This is the place to ask questions, share information, and register concerns about the school. The scope of discussion, while needing to have relevance to Oakland Tech, is broader than what is found on the Bullhorn. The Yahoo Group is the quickest way to share timely information, such as last minute notice of a meeting. Subscribers can opt to receive individual messages or a daily digest. To join, click on the signup here above and follow the simple directions.
4. The Bulldog Bytes: Bulldog Bytes is a newsletter produced by the PTSA for parents, students and staff. We project it will be published several times this year and sent to all Tech families either electronically or by U.S. Mail. Click here for past issues.
