Scholarship: Thai American Scholarship
Sponsor/Organization: Asian Pacific Fund
Scholarship Amount: Two scholarships of $1,000; Scholarship is renewable for one year.
Eligibility: Assists students of Thai heritage from Northern California in relieving the costs of a college education and to encourage participation in programs that instill appreciation and knowledge of Thai culture among Thai-American youth.
Eligibility Criteria:
Incoming freshman or current, full-time undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited, four-year college or university;
Thai heritage (at least 50 percent); other Southeast Asian backgrounds, including Lao, Cambodian or various Thai ethnic minority groups, will also be considered;
Minimum grade-point average of 3.3;
Demonstrates financial need;
Preference given to students involved in community service;
Bay Area or Sacramento county residency.

Scholarship: Shui Kuen and Allen Chin Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: Two scholarships of $1,000
Eligibility: This scholarship program supports undergraduate and graduate students who have worked at an Asian-owned or Asian-cuisine restaurant, or whose parents have worked or are working at one.
Eligibility Criteria
Full-time undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university;
Student of any ethnicity currently or formerly employed at an Asian-owned or Asian-cuisine restaurant; or have at least one parent currently or formerly employed in an Asian restaurant;
Minimum grade-point average of 3.0;
Demonstrates financial need;
Preference given to students performing community service in the Asian American community;
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

Scholarship: Maria Elena Yuchengco Memorial Journalism Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: One to three awards of $1000 to $3000
Eligibility: This scholarship was created through the Asian Pacific Fund to provide educational opportunities for Filipino American students to pursue journalism as a major or a career.
Eligibility Criteria:
Full-time undergraduate student at any accredited four-year college or university;
Major in journalism or a strong commitment to pursuing a career in journalism;
Filipino heritage (at least 50 percent);
Minimum grade-point average of 3.0;
Demonstrates financial need;
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency;

Scholarship Amount: One scholarship of $5,000, renewable for a total of four years, will be awarded to an incoming freshman.
Eligibility: The Jack and Jeanette Chu Scholarship Fund supports incoming UC Berkeley students majoring in either 1) business administration or 2) a field of study leading to a career in education.
Eligibility Criteria:
Incoming freshman intending to major in either business administration (Haas School of Business) or an education-related field at UC Berkeley;
Asian heritage (at least 50 percent); preference given to students of Chinese heritage;
Minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.0;
Commitment to pursuing a career in business or education;
Preference given to students who have lived in Central America;
Preference given to students with a record of community service.
