Scholarship: David Curtis Stringer Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: $500
Eligibility: Applicant must be planning on attending a college or trade school majoring in Fine Arts (traditional, graphic, media etc...) or music. Must attend school in Northern California, be at least a sophomore in high school and hold a GPA of 2.0 or better. Art work must be submitted with application. Art work can not measure larger than 11 by 14 or 18 inches tall if sculpture and can be of any type of material. Art work will not be returned and may be auctioned out in a scholarship fund raiser during scholarship ceremony with your permission or put on display by Ed's Place for public and judges review. Those applying under music shall submit a short CD or video with music sample. By submitting this application you acknowledge that you understand these conditions and understand that CD's, and DVD's and artwork can not be returned.

Scholarship: CH2M HILL Scholarship

Eligibility: CH2M HILL, a global engineering and environmental services company with a local office in Oakland, has a long history of encouraging and mentoring students interested in an engineering career. We have established a college scholarship to help finance a college education majoring in engineering.
To apply, high school seniors must submit:
1. A 500-word biographical essay discussing your interest in engineering, or
2. Build a widget or something expressing your interest in the field of engineering.
Entries will be judged on originality of thought and quality of submittal.

Scholarship: Biletnikoff Foundation Scholarship

Eligibility: Recipient selection will be based on student’s overall academic progress, extracurricular activities, leadership skills and participation in community activities. Scholarships may be reviewed on an academic year or semester basis, contingent upon satisfactory academic progress and availability of funds. Scholarship: Bay Area All-Star Scholarship Team Program
Sponsor/Organization: Warriors Foundation and other Bay Area sports teams
Scholarship Amount: $3000
Eligibility: Each high school can nominate two male and two female students. A teacher or coach must nominate all scholarship candidates by sending a letter of recommendation. Interested students should contact their counselors. Criteria: college-bound senior currently attending a Bay Area high school; display leadership qualities in the classroom and/or inspirational qualities on the athletic field; minimum gpa of 3.0; demonstrates the value of education, good work ethic and community outreach.
