Scholarship: Charles Foster III Scholarship Award

Sponsor/Organization: Port of Oakland Employees; administered by Marcus Foster Education Fund

Scholarship Amount: $5000

Eligibility: Open to a senior graduating from an Oakland public school interested in serving in a public service organization designed to grow the economic base of the City of Oakland and improve the quality of life for Oakland residents and the Bay Area community. Minimum GPA 3.0. Applicants are evaluated on their gpa, scholastic aptitude, test scores, potential, curriculum goals, interests, and participation in school and community activities, leadership ability, awards and recognition.
