Scholarship: Galileo Memorial Scholarships

Sponsor/Organization: NASA and American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics

Scholarship Amount: several scholarships ranging from $500 to $1500

Eligibility: Any high school senior who intends to pursue a career in engineering, mathematics, or physical or natural sciencesis eligible to apply (students intending to be medical doctors, architects, etc. are not eligible). Past finalists have had grade point averages near 4.0, high SAT scores, and involvement in numerous extracurricular activities. Applicants must be either residents of the eight counties comprising the AIAA San Francisco Section (San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, and Solano)
