Scholarship: ACSA Region 6 Scholarship
Sponsor/Organization: Association of California School Administrators
Scholarship Amount: Three $1,000 scholarships
Eligibility: 1. Be a high school graduating senior.
2. Be the son, daughter, grandchild, niece, or nephew of a State ACSA and a Region VI ACSA (Association of California School Administrators) member.
3. Plan to attend a college, university, or junior college in September 2010 as a full-time student.
4. Plan to pursue a career in education.

Scholarship: Alvin Cox Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: 15 individual scholarships, each worth $700 USD
Eligibility: There are no special eligibility requirements for the scholarship. All students may apply regardless of their race, nationality or financial status. We ask that each student who wishes to apply write a brief essay. The essay should be in size 12 font, and no longer than two pages single-spaced (four pages double). The essay must be based on the following topic: Your reason for deciding to attend college - please discuss any factors that influenced your decision to pursue a college degree. You may discuss any people who affected your decision making process and explain how your decision may have been different without their influence.

Scholarship: Kim and Harold Louie Family Foundation Scholarships
Sponsor/Organization: Kim and Harold Louie Family Foundation
Scholarship Amount: Scholarships provided directly to college or university.
Eligibility: This scholarship is for high school seniors and students who will be attending a college, university or vocational school in the United States as a freshman during the 2012-2013 academic year. Applicants should have demonstrated outstanding personal achievements, academic merit, leadership qualities and/or community service. Special consideration will be noted for applicants:
• with a demonstrated financial need;
• with parents who did not attend college;
• with a documented disability;
• who have overcome significant adversity; or
• who have parents that are United States veterans or are currently in the U.S. military.
To be considered for this scholarship, an applicant is required to:
• Be currently a high school senior in good standing and anticipate enrolling at a U.S. accredited college/university or vocational program in the 2011-2012 academic year as a freshman.
• Have a minimum, cumulative, un-weighted grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent). Students not on a 4.0 grading scale must convert their GPA to a 4.0 scale before submitting an application to the Foundation.
• Have a minimum SAT score of 1800 (out of 2400) or a minimum ACT score of 25.
• Have at least two reference letters, one of which must be from a current or former teacher in an academic subject.
• Submit personal statements as further described in this packet.
• Have applied to a U.S. college/university or vocational program, either full-time or substantial part-time, and plan to enroll in a minimum of two terms for the school year (verified by submitting a copy of the acceptance letter from the college or university as soon such acceptance letter is available).
• Submit to interviews in person or by phone, if requested.

Scholarship: Scholarship for the Arts
Sponsor/Organization: Beach Blanket Babylon and Steve Silver Foundation
Scholarship Amount: Three $10,000 scholarships
Eligibility: Eligibility
o All applicants must be legal residents of the United States or one of its official territories.
o Students must be seniors enrolled at a Bay Area High School or home schooled (within 100 miles of Club Fugazi in San Francisco).
o Students must include a completed entry form along with a recording of their performance.
o Scholarships are awarded based on talent. Grades and financial needs are not factors.
o Scholarship awards are contingent upon proof of enrollment at an accredited post-secondary institution. If you are chosen as a winner, you must agree to attend an accredited post-secondary institution within a year of receiving the scholarship award.
o Application must include signature verification that information provided is accurate and that the scholarship award will be applied toward the cost of the education at a fully accredited institution.

Scholarship Amount: 35 scholarships for students attending 4-year colleges or universities. Approximately ten scholarships for students attending community colleges. Amount of awards will vary.
Eligibility: Seniors who will graduate in June 2011 from:
a) Oakland Unified School District high schools
b) Berkeley High School
c) Richmond High School
d) St. Elizabeth High School
OR
e) Seniors who have participated in at least 3 East Bay Consortium’s Events

Scholarship Amount: $4000
Eligibility: Open to a graduating senior from an OUSD school interested in pursuing a career in the architectural field. Minimum gpa 3.0. Applicants are evaluated on their gpa, scholastic aptitude, test scores and personal interview.
