Eligibility: The recipient is a student whose athletic and academic interests are matched by personal qualities of leadership, involvement and community service. In selecting a recipient for the Ohleyer Award, The Olympic Club Foundation is looking for a young person who demonstrates outstanding leadership in academics, athletics and community service and whose accomplishments exemplify the highest ideals of sportsmanship, honor and caring. Candidates need to be nominated. Interested students should see Ms. Johnson.

UC Berkeley Incentive Awards Program

Scholarship: UC Berkeley Incentive Awards Program 

Scholarship Amount: $8000 a year for four years

Eligibility: The Incentive Awards Program provides up to $32,000 in scholarship funds over eight semesters, and student support services to low-income students and first generation college students who have demonstrated leadership potential, high academics, and a commitment to serve others. IAP reaches out to first-generation college students who have overcome great socioeconomic disadvantages through its partnerships with 49 Northern California high schools, and 22 Los Angeles high schools through its Pre-Collegiate Academy. Founded on the UC Berkeley campus in 1991, the program is now the largest privately funded scholarship and leadership development program in the UC systems. IAP Eligibility Criteria * Junior in attendance at an IAP partner high school during Junior and Senior years. * Minimum 3.5 unweighted UC GPA. * Meet financial eligibility guidelines. * Meet minimum UC admission requirements and apply to UC Berkeley. * Must be a US citizen, resident, or eligible non-citizen at time of application. * Demonstration of strong leadership at home, the community or at school, and commitment to community service.
