Scholarship: Prudential Spirit of Community Awards

Sponsor/Organization: Prudential Financial and National Association of Secondary School Principals

Scholarship Amount: $1000 and a trip to Washington, DC

Eligibility: The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards are open to students in grades 5-12 who are legal residents of any U.S. state or the District of Columbia who have distinguished themselves through volunteer and community service programs that occurred at least partly during the 12 months prior to the date of application.

Scholarship: California State PTA Scholarships

Sponsor/Organization: California State PTA

Scholarship Amount: $500

Eligibility: Open to seniors graduating from a California high school with a PTSA unit in good standing (Tech qualifies) and is a member of the PTSA (all students are welcome to join the PTSA -- $5 membership dues). This scholarship recognizes volunteer service in the school and community and does not have a GPA restriction.

Scholarship Amount: $5000 college scholarship; all-expenses-paid trip to Washington DC for an intensive one-week study of the federal government

Eligibility: High school junior or senior; permanent US resident; was not previously a Washington Week delegate; must be either student body president/vice president/secretary/treasurer, class president/vice president/secretary/treasurer, student council representative, or student representative elected or appointed to a district/regional/state level civic or educational organization
