Scholarship: Marcus Foster Education Fund Scholarship: Port of Oakland Employees Scholarship
Sponsor/Organization: Marcus Foster Education Fund
Scholarship Amount: Up to ten awards of $3,000 and up to four awards of $1,500 this spring (2012) for the 2012-2013 academic year.
Eligibility: • 2.5 GPA
• Community activities
Must be entering undergraduate studies at an accredited post-secondary institution or an accredited career-training program at a licensed vocational school in the summer or fall of 2013.
A 2.5 GPA is required for the community college/vocational school award and a 3.0 GPA for all other awards.

Scholarship: Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: $5,000 (5 awards)
Eligibility: Demonstrated on-going commitment to their community by performing unpaid volunteer services impacting hunger in the United States within the last 12 months; Volunteer services performed by applicant must help non-family members. Must be US citizens or permanent resident. Scholarship funds awarded to winners must be used for tuition and related fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for courses at an accredited post-secondary education institution.

Scholarship: Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarships
Scholarship Amount: Up to $24,000 over four years
Eligibility: Be a graduating, minority high school senior;
Plan to attend an accredited and approved four–year institution within the United States;
Show leadership potential;
Demonstrate a dedication to community service;
Present evidence of financial need;
Be a United States citizen;
A minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined on the math and critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 21; and
Not possess a degree from a 2 or 4–year College when applying for the scholarship.
