Scholarship: Marcus Foster Education Fund Scholarship: Port of Oakland Employees Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: Up to ten awards of $3,000 and up to four awards of $1,500 this spring (2012) for the 2012-2013 academic year.
Eligibility: • 2.5 GPA • Community activities Must be entering undergraduate studies at an accredited post-secondary institution or an accredited career-training program at a licensed vocational school in the summer or fall of 2013. Eligibility: • Academically outstanding high school juniors • Low income backgrounds This program provides students with the essential know-how needed to be successful applicants to the nation’s most selective colleges. The awards are designed to prepare high-achieving, low-income juniors to apply to top colleges and to educate them about the strong financial aid offered by these institutions.
