Scholarship: Explorer's Club Youth Activity Fund
Scholarship Amount: Awards range from $500 to $2,500
Eligibility: The Youth Activity Fund for high school students fosters the advancement of scientific knowledge of the world. Scholarship: Buick Achievers Scholarship Program
Sponsor/Organization: GM Foundation
Scholarship Amount: Up to $25,000 per year for 100 first-time freshman or existing college students, renewable up to four years and one additional year for those entering a qualified five-year engineering program.
$2,000 one-time awards for an additional 1,000 students.
Eligibility: For high school seniors who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at a four-year college or university. For student who plan to major in a field (engineering, technology, design or business) with an interest in the automotive industry.
Scholarship recipients are selected based on the following factors:

-- Participation and leadership in community and school activities, work experience and interest in pursuing a career in the automotive or related industry
Special consideration is given to the following applicants: first-generation college, female, minority, military veteran or a dependent of military personnel.
The majority of the scholarships will be awarded to students majoring in Engineering/Techology Fields, or who plan to major in a course of study that focuses on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math). Select Design, Marketing, Accounting, Finance and Business majors are also eligible. Scholarship recipients will demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the automotive or related industries using these areas of study.
Recipients must U.S. citizens and have permanent residence in the United States.
