Get ready to chat, sip, munch, laugh and do a lot of good at the 2019 Oakland Tech Auction & Gala set for Saturday, March 9, from 6 to 10 PM, at the California Ballroom (1736 Franklin St.) 

Donate By Feb. 1!

Right now, we’re focused on procuring as many great donations — goods, experiences, gift certificates, services, you name it — as possible. And we need everyone’s help, including yours, to do it. 

What you can do: 

  • Inquire into your favorite local businesses to donate
  • Purchase gift cards from your favorite businesses and donate to the auction
  • If you work or own a business, please consider donating an item or service
  • Or if you have a business that isn’t suitable for donating goods/services, you could opt for sponsorship (dentists, real estate/insurance agents, financial services/mortgage brokers) We offer a great advertising package to our sponsors. 

When you have an item (or many!) to donate, please fill out this donation form and return it to auctiondonation@oaklandtech.com by Jan. 31. Remember, the more, the merrier.

Adopt-a-Block!

Sure Tech’s Auction is about raising money for the school. But it’s also about being part of the community. How? Commit to adopting a block for the OT auction donation team! It means taking on a block of businesses to encourage them to contribute to the OT auction!  We are looking for people to “adopt-a-block” (or two) in our target neighborhoods: Rockridge, Temescal, Broadway/40th street, Elmwood, Montclair, Grand/Lakeshore and Uptown.  We welcome more far afield areas also if you have suggestions. You get assigned a block in a neighborhood of your choosing, and then you ask them to support our WONDERFUL PUBLIC SCHOOL in our WONDERFUL TOWN of Oakland. Plenty of instructions are available. If you are able to take on a block or a few, email Julie Glass (julie.glass510@gmail.com) and she will send you everything you need.

Host an Auction Party!

Always wanted to host a party that raises money for Tech but didn’t know where to start? We’re here to help! If you’ve got a great party space — or idea! — but need extra hands to help with planning, shopping, and greeting guests, we can connect you with other Tech families interested in throwing a party. The donation deadline is Feb. 1. Either email auctionparties@oaklandtech.com with questions or, if you’re ready to donate, fill out this party donation form and email it to auctionparties@oaklandtech.com.
