OakTech Rep will be holding auditions – in the Oakland Tech Auditorium – for the productions of the 2019-20 school year on:
Monday, August 19th, from 3:45-5:30
and Wednesday, August 21st from 3:45-5:30
Auditioning students should come prepared to tell a story from their lives that is meaningful to them, and will also have an opportunity to showcase any monologue, dance, or any talent you would like to share with the director.
The Fall production will be intensive acting training and script development of an original play based on the story of Oakland Tech’s “Apollo Class” who is responsible for MLK Jr.’s birthday becoming a state holiday.
The Spring production will be a full-length musical production of the show composed in the first semester. This production will be an examination of the power of youth to make lasting social change and will be in collaboration with Oakland Tech’s music and dance programs.

Rehearsals will be Mondays, Wednesday, Friday from 3:45-5:30 Fall performances: November 22-24th. Spring performances: April 9-11.
