OTR Parent Athlete Information Night is Wednesday, August 21 from 7-8:30 pm in the Library.

Any student from Oakland Tech in grades 9-12 is eligible to enroll for the 2019-2020 Fall and Spring seasons.

  • Rowers will learn good sportsmanship, team building, build leadership and time management skills, how to challenge themselves, as well as build friendships and create community.
  • Rowing is the top recruited sport for women, with many scholarships available. It’s never too late to learn to row.
  • Novice rowers will learn basic rowing skills and progress to rowing in racing shells on the Oakland Estuary.
  • Experienced rowers will enhance skills, build fitness, and learn training and racing strategies.
  • All athletes will have the opportunity to compete in local and regional regattas, as well as a travel regatta in the spring.
  • If you want to row, we want you to row! Scholarship opportunities are available.

Practices are held four to five days per week at the Jack London Aquatic Center, near Jack London Square in Oakland.

Come help to continue to build our legacy as one of only three scholastic rowing teams west of the Mississippi.
