Bulldogs and Families,
Welcome to a new year!!! Let’s make this the best year you have yet to have in high school. Start the year off on a positive note by being prepared and on time. 1st-period begins at 9 am and 0-period classes begin at 8 am. School ends at 3:35 pm each day with the exception of Wednesdays. Every Wednesday is a minimum day and students will be released at 2:25 pm.
This afternoon, all students should check their AERIES portal to ensure they attend the correct classes. Follow the schedule on AERIES, not the schedule you received at registration if they are different. All students must bring their temporary ID card with them to school daily. You will need to show it to your teachers. If you did not receive your temporary ID card at registration, please pick it up in the library.
A few reminders to help you begin and end your year successfully:
Attendance matters. Be on time to all of your classes.
When walking to the upper campus, walk on Broadway and walk with others. There is safety in numbers.
AERIES, our online grading platform is informative. Check it often to monitor grades and attendance.
Oakland Tech is only an open campus at lunch. Students are not allowed off-campus when classes are in session.
All students must register before attending classes. Students that have not registered by the close of the school day Monday, will be dropped and will not have the opportunity to attend Oakland Tech.
Have a good day and a great year,
