Oakland Tech alumni Nick Reeves and Nathan Nakadegawa-Lee have released a digital album of improvised duets as a fundraiser for the Alameda County Food Bank’s COVID-19 relief response. Unlimited streaming plus high-quality digital download of the album may be purchased for $5 from the Bandcamp Web site at https://nickandnaka.bandcamp.com/releases

Here’ is Nathan Nakadegawa-Lee’s description of the album:

It is called “Before All This” and is completely improvised music played by just the two of us with no overdubs. It was recorded in 2018 and 2019, when we would frequently walk home from school together and have long conversations and listening sessions about the music we loved. Often when we had time, or sometimes when we didn’t, we would improvise together. This album is the result of that.

If you cannot afford to pay the album will be on Soundcloud as well.
