Information Night and Virtual School Tours for Prospective Oakland Tech Families

School NewsComments Off on Information Night and Virtual School Tours for Prospective Oakland Tech Families

With Oakland public school campuses closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our usual schedule of school tours, shadow days, and public events for prospective families is not possible. However, we invite students and families who are interested in enrolling at Tech to attend either of two Zoom-based information sessions on Thursday, Dec. 3.

There will be two separate sessions available at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. to accommodate as many families virtually as possible (we have a Zoom limit of 300 participants per session). Each session will begin with a 25-30 minute presentation before we share links that allow you to virtually view different presentations shared by department heads and academy leads. Please use the links below to register in advance as space is limited:

Session #1 – 6 p.m.

Session #2 – 7 p.m.

For families that are unable to attend, please know that recordings of both sessions will be shared when available. General information about the OUSD enrollment process is available on the OUSD Web site.

Virtual School Tours in December and January

In addition to the Dec. 3 event, we have scheduled four virtual school tours in December and January that will be similar to the Information Night presentation but will include either a live video walkthrough of the school with commentary or a recording that will include student voices. There will also be time for questions and answers.

All tours will take place on Fridays beginning at 10 a.m. Tour dates and registration links are listed below. Please register in advance for these tours, as Zoom capacity is limited to 300 for each tour.
