Oakland Tech’s Student Government reflects the voices, energy, caring, creativity and dedication of the entire Bulldog student community. It is a selective and democratic organization composed of freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors.

Election applications for the 2019-20 school year are due by May 8 at 5:30 PM.

Apply online here and now. The online form should take about 15 minutes and includes more information about the requirements and commitments.

Qualifications

Students must:

  • Have at least a 2.5 GPA and have good citizenship (ie, good conduct with all teachers and no record of school misdemeanors)
  • Be a current freshman, sophomore or junior. Incoming freshmen will have a separate election in the fall.
  • Enroll in the Student Government Leadership Class for the 2019-20 school year.
