Internships: Info for Students

Participating in internships and summer programs is a great way to explore subjects you may want to study in college, and careers you may want to pursue in the future.

The following list includes a large variety of internships and summer program opportunities for high school students. This list is organized by application deadline, with programs still accepting applications at the top of the list and programs with closed applications listed at the bottom. If you see a program you’re interested in, review the application requirements and apply before the deadline. Many of these programs are offered every year, so if you can’t participate this year, try again next year. We will continue to add opportunities to this list, so come back and visit again!

Mr. Terrence Holliday, Work-Based Learning Liaison, works closely with Oakland Tech academies to connect with relevant internship opportunities in the community.

In addition to this list of opportunities, here are two other great Web sites where you can search for information on programs and internship opportunities that may match your interests:

Oakland Tech staff frequently post new opportunities for students on our Instagram account @othsconnections and in Advisory Announcements, so look out for these announcements throughout the year.

Start your search for summer opportunities early every year in January or February so you can have the best chance to apply and get accepted into a program you like. Good luck with your search!
