Work Permits for OUSD Students

OUSD students have the opportunity to work during high school to earn money and gain valuable experience that will help them after graduation. Students under 18 years of age are required to obtain a work permit from OUSD in order to be employed.

Before applying for a work permit, the student needs an offer of a job, as both the student and the employer complete the work permit application. The employer and the student’s guardian must also sign the work permit application. Once the application is approved by OUSD, the student will be issued a work permit. Work permits must be renewed yearly.
