  • The PTSA supports athletics, the arts, school wide events, positive behavior incentives, facility appreciation, and climate and culture activities more broadly. Oakland Tech is a more enriched school with your time, talent and/or treasure! Everyone is encouraged to participate in creating a better school community for students. Why are there membership dues?

As part of the California State PTA, we submit dues for every member of our school’s association. To cover that cost, we request $5 annual dues per person. However, we have a dues waiver option if you want your dues to be paid from our sponsorship fund. Alternatively, if you are interested in sponsoring memberships so that other parents and teachers may choose the dues waiver option, we encourage you to contribute to this fund.
